Is Extension Maker free?

There are three different licenses available. You can choose a free license type and download the full featured version of the program without any limitations and it’s absolutely free. Please note, however, that when you use Extension Maker for free, unpacking, investigating or modifying generated extensions is not possible. The Standard or Extended License is required to explore those options.

Do I need to have any experience in programming to create browser add-ons with your tool?

No, you don’t need to have any experience in programming. You can design your extension with the help of convenient interface. Take a look at our User Guide to get an idea how to use the program. We are also happy to help you with specific queries if you Contact Us.

Which browser types are supported?

At the moment Extension Maker produces extensions for Google Chrome, Firefox and Opera. We will be adding support of Internet Explorer and Safari extensions in upcoming versions.

Is the program secure?

Yes, it is absolutely secure. You can install it without any worries.

How to install Extension Maker on Linux?

Follow the next steps to install Extension Maker on your Linux:

1. Create standalone folder for the program: mkdir ~/extensionmaker
2. Navigate to this folder: cd ~/extensionmaker
3. Download latest version of the program: wget http://extensionmaker.com/download/ExtensionMaker-0.5.4.tar.gz
4. Unpack the archive: tar -xzvf ExtensionMaker-0.5.4.tar.gz
5. Run the app: java -jar ExtensionMaker-0.5.4.jar
